A total of 20 faculty members and staff from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) were inaugurated to fill various positions for the 2024-2028 term and as interim replacements for the 2021-2025 term. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Ahmad Sanusi Building, UPI Bumi Siliwangi Campus, Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No. 229, Bandung, on Monday, August 19, 2024, officiated by the Acting Rector of UPI, Prof. Dr. H. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., represented by Prof. Dr. Didi Sukyadi, M.A.
During the ceremony, Prof. Didi Sukyadi highlighted that according to UPI’s Strategic Plan, university leaders are entrusted with the responsibility to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as outlined in the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) for Higher Education and to advance UPI towards becoming a World Class University (WCU). To achieve these goals, he stressed that the leaders within UPI must take concrete actions.
“Leadership is a choice,” Prof. Didi Sukyadi stated, “and by choosing to take on leadership roles at UPI, this choice must be accompanied by responsibility. It is important not to complain about extra work, working on holidays, or working beyond normal hours.”
He further emphasized that in areas such as Facilities and Infrastructure, there should be improvements, better management, and optimization of information systems related to these resources. Additionally, in the realm of Information Systems and Technology, there is an expectation to optimize human resources and integrate information technology effectively to better serve the students.
