The ASEAN Conference on Accounting Education 2015 (ACAE 2015) envisions to be the platform for academic discussions, sharing and exchanging of views on current issues and methods of solving issues in accounting education around the world focusing on global and glocal challenges faced by accounting education in this century.

It is open to local and international academia, researchers, policy makers, accounting professional bodies and ‘stakeholders’ who have an interest in the field of accounting education. From the presentations and exchange of views with international professional groups on current issues, we can gain knowledge which, subsequently, could be useful for teaching and learning. The Conference will also help build a closer network between industry and universities, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

PAPER SUBMISSION
  • Abstracts with maximum of 300 words should be submitted in electronic format via:http://submit.confbay.com/conf/acae2015.
  • Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers (not being considered for publication elsewhere) in standard format (single-spaced, Arial, 10-pt font) with APA referencing style. Submissions are recommended to have no more than 10 pages (extra pages are subject to surcharge), including figures, tables, and references. Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, interest, clarity, relevance, correctness, and presentation

CONFERENCE AWARD

The conference will announce three (3) ‘Best Paper Award’ to recognize high quality research presented at this conference. The awarding decisions are made by an Awards Committee formed among members of the Scientific Committee or the wider research community. Each award will include a plaque each for the authors and an honorarium of RM1,000.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY

Accepted full papers will be published in the refereed conference proceeding and a selection of extended presented papers from ACAE 2015 will be invited to be published in Malaysian Accounting Review (MAR). MAR is an international refereed journal that is currently indexed with three international databases namely Ebscohost, Cabell’s and Ulrich. The journal is also ranked by two Australian databases: ERA and Bardsnet. Currently the journal is under review for possible indexing by SCOPUS.

In conjunction with this ACAE 2015 conference we will be publishing MAR’s special issue on “Accounting Education: Changing the Landscape of Accounting Profession”. We invite interested authors to submit their papers (conceptual or empirical).
