AsTEN Teacher Education Quality Assurance Agency (ATQA) carried out socialization activities and online Accreditation System Training, Wednesday (27/07/2022). The activity was carried out online and offline in Meeting Room 2, University Center Building, 4th floor, UPI Campus, Jln. Dr. Setiabudhi No. 229 Bandung.
The event began with remarks from the Executive Director of ATQA, Prof. Fuad Abdul Hamied, Ph.D. He said that the purpose of this accreditation is very diverse. In addition to accreditation status at the international level, the activity will strengthen the international accreditation system entrusted to ATQA. At the same time, this activity strengthens UPI’s vision as a leading and outstanding university.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Bunyamin Maftuh, M.Pd., MA representing the Chancellor as well as the AsTEN Board of Trustees gave a speech and officially opened this socialization and training activity. In his remarks he hoped that ATQA would not only play a role in accrediting Education Study Programs in ASEAN but also be able to develop to a global level.
In this event the ATQA Team consisting of Prof. Fuad Abdul Hamied, MA, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Mohammad Fakry Gaffar, M.Ed., Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali, M.Pd., MA, Prof. Ahmad Bukhari Muslim, M.Ed., Ph.D., Dr. Rini Solihat, M.Sc., and Jajang Kusnendar, M.Sc. provide knowledge about the requirements, procedures/stages as well as training in the use of applications/accreditation systems that have been completed to eight heads of education study programs selected for the initial ATQA accreditation.
Eight study programs that will soon be accredited are S1 Accounting Education (FPEB), S1 French Language Education (FPBS), S1 Fine Arts Education (FPSD), S1 Electrical Engineering Education (FPTK), S1 Physics Education (FPMIPA), S1 Special Education ( FIP), S1 Tourism Education (FPIPS) and S1 PGSD Physical Education (FPOK).
The end of this socialization and training activity is the beginning for each study program to start collecting, compiling and proposing the documents required for accreditation. It is hoped that before 2022 the inaugural accreditation process is completed and can produce good results. (Dian Hendriana)
