On Monday (25/04/2022), the Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia has carried out the activity of Accepting the Exchange of Lecturers and Students of UiTM Malaysia. This activity is one of the activities carried out to introduce the leadership and staff in the Library and Information Science Study Program and also the Faculty of Education. This activity took place at the Auditorium FIP B Lt. 10., at 16.00 WIB, which was followed by an Iftar event.
The acceptance of this UiTM Lecturer and Student Exchange was symbolically accepted by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Rudi Susilana, M.Sc. and also attended by the Director of the Directorate of International Affairs UPI, Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D. This activity was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Nandang Budiman, M.Pd., then the Deputy Dean for Personnel, Resources and General Affairs, namely Dr. Suryadi, M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Sardin, M.Sc., as well as the Heads of Section and also educational staff in the FIP UPI environment.
Previously, the lecturers and students of the exchange program from UiTM Malaysia had arrived in Bandung since Friday, welcomed by lecturers, education staff, and students who came to pick up at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng. The lecturers and students from UiTM who took part in the exchange program this time included one Assoc lecturer. Prof. Dr. Saidatul Akmar Binti Ismail and four other students, namely Nur Ain Kamilah Binti Tamrin, A’lya Safiah Bint Ahmad Sobri, Nur Nadhirah Binti Saing, and Amal Faiqah Binti Shah Rullnizam. Meanwhile, the two students are said to be following after Eid al-Fitr.
The activity which took place at the FIP Auditorium, Lt. The 10 events started according to the scheduled schedule, namely at 16.00 WIB, which was opened by Anindya Putri Maharani (Perpusinfo 2019) as MC. Linda Setiawati, M.Pd. After the remarks from the head of the study program, the activity continued with remarks delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Education and continued by the Director of the Directorate of International Affairs UPI, as a symbolic form of acceptance of lecturers and students of the UiTM exchange program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saidatul Akmar Binti Ismail as a lecturer who took part in the exchange program from UiTM also had the opportunity to give his speech. At the end of the event, Dr. Rudi Susilana, M.Si, as the Dean of the Faculty of Education guides the introduction of lecturers and education staff within the Faculty of Education and the Library and Information Science Study Program as well as lecturers and students of the UiTM exchange program, so that it is hoped that all parties can get to know each other. While waiting for the time to break the fast, all the invitees who attended the activity had the opportunity to listen to the tausiyah delivered by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Education, Dr. Nandang Budiman, M.Pd.
Towards the time of breaking the fast, the activity was then closed with prayer, group photos, and finally it was time to break the fast. Hopefully, by holding this activity, it can be a bridge for the Indonesian University of Education, especially the Library and Information Science Study Program to continue to improve its performance and achievements as one of the pioneer and superior study programs in the field of library and information science with educational characteristics.
