On June 1, 2023, Commander and Vice Commander, along with the Provost Commander, of the Gita Widya Siliwangi Corps, Mahawarman Battalion XI/Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Resimen Pendidikan (Menwa Yon XI/UPI/RP), along with 10 female students from Labschool UPI under Menwa’s supervision, participated in the Commemoration Ceremony of Pancasila’s Birth Anniversary at the Gymnasium Field of UPI Campus on Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi Number 229, Bandung, Thursday (6/1/2023).

June 1st holds historical significance for the Indonesian nation as it marks the birth of Pancasila. The ceremony was led by the Commander of Menwa Yon XI/UPI/RP as the Parade Commander throughout the event.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Rector of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., as the Inspector of the Ceremony, accompanied by the Vice Commander of Menwa Yon XI/UPI/RP as an aide, and escorted by the Provost Commander. The ceremony was attended by the entire academic community of UPI.

The Gita Widya Siliwangi Corps of Menwa Yon XI/UPI/RP performed with their marching band, accompanying the ceremony as the Inspector entered and left the podium, while also paying respects to the Inspector. Additionally, they accompanied the raising of the Indonesian flag in collaboration with the Choir Student Activity Unit (UKM Paduan Suara).

It is expected that the participation of Menwa Yon XI/UPI/RP members in every grand ceremony at UPI will bring pride to all Menwa Yon XI/UPI/RP members and enhance the spirit of defending the nation to preserve the ideology of Pancasila amid the globalization currents that might dilute Pancasila in this country.
