Bandung, 08/06/23 – In an effort to expand international collaboration networks, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ibadat International University Islamabad, Pakistan. The signing of the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education and research between the two institutions.
Following the signing of the MoU, discussions on potential collaborations have been carried out. The meeting was attended by representatives from both universities, including a delegation from Ibadat International University Islamabad led by Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gilani, the Rector. From UPI, the presence of the Rector, Director of International Affairs, and Deans from the Faculty of History and Document Education, Faculty of Language and Arts Education, Faculty of Sports and Health Education, Faculty of Economics and Business Education, and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences (FIP) participated virtually in the discussions.
The delegation from UPI, including Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gilani, Rector of Ibadat International University Islamabad, Pakistan, Haider Ajaib, Advisor Chairman (BOG) Ibadat International University Islamabad, Pakistan, and Dr. Purnama Syae Purrohman, Head of the Cooperation Unit of Prof. DR. HAMKA Muhammadiyah University (Uhamka), conducted a visit to Ibadat International University Islamabad to sign the MoU.
The MoU aims to expand cooperation in terms of student exchange, faculty exchange, research collaboration, and joint program development. It is expected that this collaboration will bring benefits to both parties, particularly in the advancement of knowledge and the improvement of educational quality.
During the signing of the MoU, Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gilani expressed his excitement about the agreement reached between Ibadat International University Islamabad and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in enhancing education standards in both countries. Meanwhile, representatives from UPI expressed their hopes that this collaboration will open up new opportunities for students and academic staff to broaden their horizons and experiences.
This collaboration represents a significant step in enhancing the quality of education and research in both universities. It is expected that this MoU will serve as the foundation for a close and mutually beneficial partnership between Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Ibadat International University Islamabad, contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative higher education in both countries.
