UPI welcomes four exchange students from UiTM Malaysia, Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at FIP B Conference Room.
Currently, UPI is prioritizing in holding more student exchanges and lecturer exchanges to increase the number of inbound and outbound students. UPI has sent many of its students to participate in student exchange, field practice, and also an internship in many partner universities. At the same time, UPI also accepts a lot of inbound students from UPI’s partners.
The Head of Office of International Education and Relations (OIER) Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D. said in his remarks, “UiTM is one of the most intensive partnerships with a lot of faculties in UPI. This semester, we are also sending two students from Visual Art Education to UiTM for student exchange in one semester. Welcome to UPI, I hope you all can learn well during your stay.”
Dr. Rudi Susilana, M.Si, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences also added, “It is very important for students to learn besides on campus but also in some addition to being able to adapt to the environment and local customs, such as food, transportation, and so on. Therefore, I hope the buddies (students of the Library and Information Science major) can help you all while you are in UPI.”
There was also the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences Dr. Agus Taufiq, M.Pd., and other Vice Deans of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Dr. Aceng Muhtaram Mirfani, M.Pd, and Dr. Sardin, M.Si attended at the welcoming ceremony.
The students from UiTM namely; Patricia Lua Anak Sebarang, Nur Azirah Binti Khamdin, Nurfariesha Binti Mohd Zahuri, Shafirah Soleeha Binti Rosli will be participating in UPI as students in Library and Information Science study program of Faculty of Education Science/Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) UPI.
