Studying Digital Ecosystem Development, the Directorate General of Immigration Engages the Minister of Health and Tokopedia

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin shared his insights and experience in transforming the Indonesian health system to immigration officials, Thursday (19/01/2023). On the second day of the National Evaluation and Consolidation Meeting (REKN) in the context of the 73rd Immigration Service Day, the Directorate General of Immigration invited experienced speakers in their fields to become references for comprehensive digital transformation at Immigration.

The promotion of digitalization of the integrated health system occurred during the Covid-19 Pandemic, where the demand for categorization of public health conditions was very urgent. The Ministry of Health initiated an Integration and Standardization Platform named SATUSEHAT, a platform that encourages data interoperability across the health sector ecosystem so that it can be of wider use and produce optimal impact.

“Indonesia has also issued international vaccination certificates in accordance with WHO standards which can be read by other countries via a QR code. Some of the data contained in the system includes a unique serial number, QR Code, name, NIK, passport number, date of birth, type of vaccine and others,” explained Budi.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, Hilmi Adrianto said that his party was trying to accelerate the digitization of public services. Some of the programs that are widely known are electronic payment of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) through the Tokopedia application and the pre-employment card program.

“In the process, Tokopedia carries out best practices such as collaboration between stakeholders (synergy between the government and the private sector), digital literacy which includes skills, security, ethics and digital culture, end-to-end services, namely services that are integrated with various supporting ecosystems and harmony between policies and regulations on the development of digital ecosystems,” Hilmi concluded.

Through this hybrid activity, it is hoped that the board of directors, head of office and immigration officers will have a basic understanding before accelerating towards an integrated digital space.
