Executive Summary

Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) demonstrates strong commitment to climate action through low-carbon energy initiatives, comprehensive environmental education programs, and active collaboration with government and NGOs. In 2025, UPI generated 729 GJ of low-carbon energy from solar power installations, representing 2.8% of total university energy consumption of 26,332 GJ.

The university implements a Climate Action plan shared with local government and community groups, provides local education programs on climate change risks and mitigation, participates in cooperative planning for climate disasters at the local level, and collaborates with NGOs including BeCool Indonesia on climate adaptation initiatives. UPI actively supports local government in climate disaster risk early warning and monitoring.
