Executive Summary

Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) demonstrates strong commitment to innovation and industry collaboration through seven university spin-offs that translate academic research into commercial applications and real-world solutions. These spin-offs represent successful technology transfer and entrepreneurship initiatives emerging from university research.

In 2025, UPI secured IDR 22,217 million in total research income from industry and commerce partnerships, showing a 30.7% increase from the previous year’s IDR 17,003 million. This substantial funding supports cutting-edge research across multiple disciplines and strengthens university-industry collaboration for innovation and development.

Research income is distributed across key sectors: STEM fields received IDR 16,320 million (73.5% of total), Medicine received IDR 838,540 million, and Arts & Humanities/Social Sciences received IDR 5,058,200 million, demonstrating UPI’s comprehensive approach to research and innovation across all academic disciplines.
