In commemoration of the 59th National Health Day, the Health Service Unit of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) organized health examinations for Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, Uric Acid, and Pap Smear for the leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff within the University. The event took place at the Health Service Unit Building on UPI Campus, Dr. Setiabudhi Street No. 229, Bandung, on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
According to Dr. Lucky Angkawijaya Roring, M.Pd, AIFO, from UPI’s Health Service Unit, this activity is a screening of health history and non-communicable disease examinations for leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff. “Here, we conduct a health history screening in commemoration of the 59th National Health Day on November 12, and also to create a healthy campus. We also need data on the health history of academic members, especially lecturers and administrative staff,” he explained.
By having health history data from lecturers and administrative staff, he added, it is hoped that it will be possible to identify risk factors for non-communicable diseases. If any are found, it is hoped that they can be promptly followed up with consultations and the implementation of preventive measures.
