For a Week The Indonesian Educators University Team led directly by the Chancellor of the Indonesian Education University Prof. Dr. H. Solehuddin, M.Pd., MA and the head of the research team in the field of “Curriculum Development for Climate Change Education” namely Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali, MA, along with team members consisting of Prof. Dr. H. Asep Herry Hernawan, M.Pd., Dr. H. Rudi Susilana, M.Sc., Dr. Laksmi Dewi, M.Pd., carried out discussions and direct visits to a number of destinations that support the success of the collaborative research in question.
On that occasion the UPI team was received directly by the head of the Indonesian Embassy in Finland, Mrs. Ratu Silvy Gayatri on Sunday, May 8, 2022, during her visit the UPI research team discussed collaborative research opportunities in supporting UPI’s success in the World Class University (WCU) program. After the discussion on Monday, May 9, 2022 the team made a visit to a university school (School University) in order to review and review to obtain data and information about the research project on “Curriculum Development for Climate Change Education” which was carried out in Finland, to be exact at Tampere University. . The event discussed various strategies and opportunities for successful curriculum development.
On Tuesday, May 10, the UPI team was received by the Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Education and Culture, on that occasion discussing the research project chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali. The results of the discussion of this research project will continue on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, where discussion activities are more realistic research programs as best practices regarding the study of curriculum development in Finland. The event was held while visiting the Visiting Nature School, in Tampereen Luontokoulu Korento. The event was held until the end and the UPI delegation team explored around the Tampereen University campus together with other research teams from Finland.
The next series of events from the UPI delegation team, namely on Thursday, May 12, 2022, conducted a Workshop with Lecturers by the Specialist in Environmental Education, namely Mrs. Dr Essi Aarnio-Linnavuori, the event lasted until lunch time. From the results of the workshop, a lot of knowledge and opportunities for sustainable research were obtained regarding the environmental education curriculum. After completing a series of program activities at Tampere University, campus-assisted university schools, and also other site visits to support obtaining research opportunities and completing this collaborative research, the UPI team returned to their homeland. Hopefully, the results from foreign goodwill in a series of research on Curriculum Development for Climate Change Education, can strengthen UPI’s achievements in positioning itself at World Class University (WCU), 2022.
