BANDUNG – Proud Moment! That’s what can be expressed upon hearing the recent achievement of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) at the 2023 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (OnMIPA). UPI secured a bronze medal in the field of Biology in this prestigious national academic competition.
In the OnMIPA organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, UPI showcased its expertise and dedication in the field of biology. They successfully competed against other leading universities in Indonesia, proving that the quality of education they provide to their students is exceptional.
Zaki Fahreza Sururi, a student of the Biology Education Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (FPMIPA), under the guidance of Dr. Diah Kusumawaty, M.Si., achieved this impressive accomplishment after undergoing a series of challenging tests. This success is a testament to the students’ and teachers’ abilities and dedication in the field of biology, demonstrating their competitiveness at the national level.
Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin, the Rector of UPI, expressed his pride and appreciation to the FPMIPA team for bringing home the bronze medal. “Bravo to FPMIPA,” he said. “May this achievement serve as motivation for other students to continue excelling and bring honor to UPI and Indonesia.”
OnMIPA itself is an annual competition organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, aimed at exploring and developing students’ potential in mathematics and natural sciences, participated by various universities across Indonesia.
