
To commemorate the National Education Day, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) as the university that has the educational identity always strives to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The effort keeps carried out by always producing work even in the pandemic of COVID-19.
One of the works produced by UPI that coincided with the National Education Day is a book entitled Education Towards a Golden Indonesia (Pendidikan Menuju Indonesia Emas) on Saturday, (2/05/2020) at Gedung Partere UPI, Dr. Setiabudhi, 229, Bandung. The book conceived by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali, M.A., consists of six chapters and 84 titles involving 95 writers from UPI lecturers and professors as well as from education observers. The book that presents the idea of philosophical, theoretical, academic, and educational practices is a brainchild to prepare Indonesian human resources who are ready to compete in 2045.
The book launching event that broadcasted live on TVUPI opened by the host, Dr. Isah Cahyani, M.Pd., at 8 a.m. Then it was continued by a prayer by Dr. KH. Aam Abdussalam, M.Pd., through live campus journalist from his home. The event continued with a remark from The Head of Public Relation and Director of TVUPI Dr. Deni Darmawan, M.Si, MCE. live from Studio 1 TVUPI.
Presentation of Books by the Head of the Book Development Team, Dr. Rudi Susilana, M.Sc. A number of remarks followed the event such as from The Head of Development Team of “Pendidikan Menuju Indonesia Emas” book, Dr. Rudi Susilana, M.Si., and a short speech from the Head Editor, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali, M.A. The book gets a positive appreciation from the Indonesian Ambassador in Uzbekistan, Prof. Dr. Sunaryo Kartadinata, M.Pd., which was directly delivered from the Ambassador’s Office in Uzbekistan. Then followed by a short speech from the book editor team, Dr. Asep Herry Hernawan, M.Pd
