Graduation ceremony for Filipino students of UPI School of Postgraduate

School of Postgraduate UPI held a graduation ceremony for 7 students from Philippines on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at UPI’s School of Postgraduate Auditorium.

UPI always strives to expand the scope of its international students, not only from bachelor degree students but also master and doctoral degrees. This year UPI has seven graduates of Postgraduate School from Philippines. Six of them are from doctoral programs and one from master program.

This is one of the collaboration forms of UPI with Philippine Normal University (PNU) in the postgraduate program, where universities send their postgraduate students to study at partner universities.

Director of UPI School of Postgraduate, Prof. Dr. H. Syihabuddin, M.Pd on his remarks congratulated all the graduates, “We are very happy for all of the graduates today. I also want to thank the President of Philippine Normal University for your presence on this delightful day. We hope that our collaboration will continue and become better in the future.”

The ceremony was attended by President of Philippine Normal University, Dr. Bert J. Tuga and the Vice President of Philippine Normal University, Dr. Lordinio A. Vergara. “This is our special thanks to UPI. At the time we developed a program for our Ph.D. students to study in Southeast Asia universities, we did not hesitate to pick UPI as one of our partner universities. I know that what they’ve already learned from UPI will be vital and very important to their further career,” said Dr. Bert J. Tuga.

The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Anna Permanasari, M.Si. Deputy Director for Academic and Student Affairs of UPI Postgraduate School and Prof. Dr. Disman, MS. Deputy Director of Finance and Resources of UPI Postgraduate School.

There were also The Head of Office of International Education and Relations (OIER) Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D. and Arif Hidayat, M.Si., Ph.D.Ed as the head of OIER of Postgraduate school attended the ceremony.

The ceremony ended with giving of tokens of appreciation for all the graduates, both form UPI School of Postgraduate and Office of International Education and Relations (OIER) UPI, followed by having lunch together. (Writer: Ghina Aulia Saffanah, Editor: Aida Hasanah)
