Pre-departure and training for 9th batch of SEA-Teacher

Pre-departure and training for 9th batch of SEA-Teacher was held at the meeting room of University Centre building on February 4th, 2020. This ceremony was attended by 6 participants of SEA-Teacher, the head of OIER, staffs of OIER, and some UPI lecturers.

SEA Teacher aims to give students from universities in Southeast Asia the teaching experience in other countries in Southeast Asia area. This project is also known as “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia”, and made for (preferably) 4th year students majoring in math, science, English, and pre-school.

The opening ceremony speech was delivered by Mr. Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D., as The Head of Office of International Education and Relations (OIER), “This batch of SEA-Teacher is more special than the previous one. We used to send the our students to the countries in Southeast Asian, but now we include Japan in this program. So, we will send our two students to Japan on this batch.”

Six participants of the 9th batch of SEA-Teacher will be placed in Philippines, Thailand, and Japan. Although Japan is a country outside Southeast Asia, but now it is ncluded in this program. The participants from UPI consist of five students from Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science Education (FPMIPA): Alifia Nuzul Pramadhany (University of Tsukuba Japan), Echa Nurlaeli Naufal (University of Tsukuba Japan), Siti Kurnia Nurjannah (Central Luzon State University Philippines), Azzahra Hana Fadila (Central Luzon State University Philippines), Vianni Ismi Kania (Khon Kaen University Thailand) and one student from Social Science Education Faculty (FPIPS): Anisa Safitri (Khon Kaen University Thailand). The program starts from 6 February to 5 March, 2020.
