THE World University Ranking is a highly prestigious ranking institution that is recognized worldwide. The ranking carried out by THE World University Rankings 2022 only includes 1,600 of the best universities in 99 countries from 2,100 universities that meet THE requirements to be able to take part in the ranking by submitting data.

According to THE World University Rankings 2022, the University of Indonesia took 1st place, 2nd position was occupied by the Bandung Institute of Technology, and the Indonesian Education University was ranked 3rd in the Top University in Indonesia. Positions 4 to 10 are occupied by Airlangga University, BINUS University, Brawijaya University, Dipenogoro University, Gadjah Mada University, Hasanudin University, and IPB.

The rankings are based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure institutional performance in four areas, namely teaching, research and knowledge transfer in the form of citations, earnings from industry and international outlook.

Based on the publication of THE World University Rankings 2022, the ranking is carried out by analyzing 108 million citations of more than 14.4 million research publications and includes survey results from nearly 22,000 academics worldwide. Altogether, more than 430,000 data points were collected. Based on data released by THE World University Rankings 2022, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia is ranked in the world at positions 1001-1200. UPI’s overall score in THE World University Rankings 2022 is 22.4-27.1, with a breakdown in teaching areas of 17.2, in research and citations 9.3 and 44.1, in income from industry 35.6, and in the field of international worldview 17.5. This achievement should be seen as an invitation for UPI to continue to improve various aspects of its services so that its ranking can be more advanced in the future (Rector of the Indonesian Education University, Prof. Dr. M.
