UPI Civil Engineering Students’ Team Secures 2nd Place in National Geotechnic Competition at Civil Week UNS 2023

Bandung – Another proud achievement has been attained by students from the Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education (FPTK) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). A team from the Civil Engineering department at FPTK UPI successfully clinched 2nd place in the National Geotechnic Competition, which is part of the Civil Week at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) 2023.

The winning team, composed of three talented students – Alif Kautsar (2003577), Aura Putri Fadlillah (2000001), and Fakhira Rifqah (2008014) – showcased their exceptional skills and knowledge in the field of geotechnics. This success was made possible with the guidance and supervision of their advisor, Dr. Ir. Herwan Dermawan, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., who provided full support to the team.

The National Geotechnic Competition is a challenging event that requires participants to apply their knowledge and skills in solving real and complex geotechnical problems. The competition not only tests academic abilities but also assesses the creativity and innovation of participants in finding the best solutions.

This achievement reflects UPI’s commitment, especially within FPTK, to support the development of students’ potential in academic and professional fields. The success of this team serves as inspiration for other students to continue achieving and contributing to the advancement of science and technology.
