Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia has been named one of the best universities in the world through the latest edition of the ranking of the most referenced universities in the world. Indonesian Education Universities are ranked #201-250 in the World and #1 Top Universities in Indonesia in the Field of Education based on the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings (QS-WUR) by Subject 2022.

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) as one of the institutions conducting analysis of the performance of higher education in the world, released the 12th edition of the QS on the ranking of world-class universities by Subject. An independent comparative analysis was conducted of the performance of 15,200 university courses, taken by students at 1543 universities in 88 locations worldwide, across 51 disciplines. The data is part of the QS World University Ranking (QS-WUR) annual portfolio data which has been consulted more than 147 million times in 2021 on Top Universities.com and covered 96,000 times by the media and institutions.

The aspects assessed in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings by Subject 2022 ranking consist of indicators of Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citation per Paper and H-Index. The achievements obtained by the Indonesian Education University based on the QS WUR by Subject ranking in 2022 are:

In the QS WUR by Subject 2022, there are 20 fields of study (5 fields of study Arts and Humanities, 2 fields of study Engineering and Technology, 6 fields of study Natural Sciences, and 7 fields of study (Social Sciences and Management) are included in the QS ranking radar and only the field of Education is ranked. On the Academic Reputation indicator, the best performance at the University of Education Indonesia is in the field of Education studies, with a score of 57.6;
In the Employer Reputation indicator, the best university performance comes in the field of Education with a score of 50.3;
In the Citations per Paper indicator, articles in the field of Education are the articles with the most citations with the highest score (72.2); and
In the H-Index, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia obtained the highest score in the field of Education with a score of 63.7.
Based on data released in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2022, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia is ranked #1 in Indonesia and ranked #201-250 in the world in the Education Sector. This position has increased from #251-300 in 2021 to #201-250 in 2022 (UPI PR/DIA UPI)
