UPI Rector Inaugurates New Buildings for the UPI Campus Laboratory Kindergarten in Cibiru and the UPI Campus Laboratory Elementary School in Purwakarta.

The demand for quality education services is very high in society. Meanwhile, the addition of new classrooms is absolutely necessary every year. Therefore, the construction of the UPI Campus Laboratory Kindergarten building in Cibiru and the UPI Campus Laboratory Elementary School building in Purwakarta is well received by many parties, including teachers, students, FORSITA members, and the community.

UPI Rector Prof. Dr. H. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., strongly supports and appreciates the efforts of the UPI School Laboratory Development and Management Office (KPPSL) and Labschool UPI in improving educational services for its students. It is hoped that the Labschool of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia will always be an excellent school.

Based on this, UPI Rector Prof. Dr. H. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., accompanied by the Head of KPPSL UPI Prof. Dr. Prayoga Bestari, M.Si., inaugurated the new UPI Campus Laboratory Kindergarten building in Cibiru and the UPI Campus Laboratory Elementary School building in Purwakarta simultaneously at the UPI Campus in Cibiru, Jalan Pendidikan No.15, Kabupaten Bandung, on Friday (3/3/2023).

According to the Head of KPPSL UPI Prof. Prayoga, “Since its establishment in 2010, the UPI Campus Laboratory Kindergarten in Cibiru has been relocated three times. After waiting for 12 years, it finally has a very sturdy new building.”

Meanwhile, he continued, the UPI Campus Laboratory Elementary School in Purwakarta is a relatively new school, having been established only five years ago in July 2018. However, despite being a new school, the public’s interest in Labschool UPI in Purwakarta is very good. The indicator is that for the 2023/2024 academic year, there are only 2 remaining slots for prospective students.

“Labschool is a Teaching School of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, which means that not only education study programs can conduct research in Labschool, but all study programs at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia can also do so in Labschool UPI,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Prof. Prayoga stated that the achievements of Labschool UPI students have been increasing. In fact, many achievements have been attained by all levels of Labschool UPI, from kindergarten to high school.
“In addition to continuously building and equipping infrastructure, Labschool UPI also innovates education services, such as the Junio Smart and other excellent programs, as an effort to create religious and integrity-minded generations in facing Indonesia Emas 2045,” he hoped.

With the addition of new facilities, it is hoped that they can be utilized to the maximum to create a conducive, comfortable, and enjoyable learning process, so that students in Labschool UPI can gain maximum and beneficial knowledge.

Present at the event were UPI Leaders, UPI Campus Directors in the Regions, PGPAUD Campus UPI Cibiru Program Directors, Labschool UPI School Consortium Committees, the UPI Campus Laboratory Kindergarten School Committee in Cibiru, the UPI Campus Laboratory Elementary School Committee in Purwakarta, Labschool UPI School Principals, and invited guests.
