Twenty-one lecturers in the University of Education Indonesia (UPI) have received a Decree from the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology regarding their Academic Promotion to the rank of Professor/Full Professor. The Decree was handed over directly by the UPI Rector, Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., accompanied by university leaders in the UC Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of UPI Campus, located at 229 Dr. Setiabudhi Street, Bandung, on Friday, September 1, 2023.
According to the UPI Rector, the issuance of these Decrees is both an honor and a trust from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology towards UPI as an institution and towards each individual recipient. He emphasized, “This is a trust. It is also an asset for UPI in its readiness to empower its human resources and maximize their contributions to the Higher Education Tri Dharma at UPI.”
In general, he added, this is a recognition for UPI, and as such, they are obliged to continue fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. However, based on their rank, they are expected to support and strengthen the institution in the field of research and to disseminate it. With the support of the institution’s facilities, it is hoped that they will continue to excel in their research and innovations.
