The UPI Play Theater UKM succeeded in getting another achievement at the 10th National Student Theater Festival or Festamasio which was hosted by the Idea Café Theater UKM, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Banten.
At this year’s Festamasio, the Theater Play team won 5 awards, including Theater Play as Best Presenter, Selma Jasmine as Best Director, M. Anas Fawwaz as Best Actor, Fitri Regina as Best Supporting Actor, and Irfan Badrul Z. as Arranger Best Lamp.
In addition, the Theater Play team won several nominations, including Tiara Razak as the Best Actress Nominee, Dharma Virya and the team as the Best Artistic Arranger Nomination, Yustiano Nasrullah and Ferrigus RP as the Best Music Arranger Nomination, and Alisya Zahrani and Rifda Zulfia as the Best Arranger Nomination Best Makeup.
Other theater UKM that have also won awards are Point Dua Theatre, Art UKM Makassar State University with 4 awards and GSSTF Padjadjaran University with 1 award.
The National Student Theater Festival (Festamasio) is a gathering place for works and ideas from campus art groups/institutions throughout Indonesia. Festamasio is also a manifestation of campus theater’s contribution to the development of theater in Indonesia. This activity is held every two years, the first Festamasio was held in 2001 and until now has been held in several cities in Indonesia.
