Virtual Memorandum of Agreement Signing Ceremony between Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI)

A collaboration between two universities is a way to strengthen education and mutual benefits a good cooperation. For that reason, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in a ceremony which was held on March 25, 2021 virtually through Zoom. Through this ceremony, UiTM introduced their Matching Grant Research Team Members to UPI. Other than to create great teamwork between the universities, this ceremony also has other purposes such as to improve UiTM and UPI ranks to the next level.

This event was attended by the academic faculty and researchers from both universities. The participants from UiTM were the academic faculty of Business and Management UiTM: Prof. Dr. Noryati Ahmad (The Dean of Faculty Business and Management UiTM), Dr. Zarina Denan (The Deputy Dean of Academic), Dr. Muhamad Sukor Jaafar (The Deputy Dean of Students’ Affairs), Dr. Nor Farradila Abdul Aziz (The Deputy Dean of Industry, Community, and Alumni Network), and Dr. Dilla Syadia Ab Latiff (The Head of Strategic Planning and Corporate Communication). In addition, Dr. Norliza Che Yahya as the Research and Innovation Coordinator and the researchers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lennora Putit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rohana Ngah, Dr. Emi Normalina Omar, Dr. Ismah Osman, also attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the participants from UPI were the academic faculty of Business and Management Education and the Directorate of International Affairs. The Faculty of Economics and Business Education was represented by Prof. Dr. H. Eeng Ahman, MS. (The Dean of Faculty of Business and Management Education UPI), Dr. Vanessa Gaffar, SE.Ak. MBA. (The Deputy Dean of Academic), Dr. Rasto, S.Pd., M.Pd. (The Deputy Dean for Finance, Resource, and General Affairs), Dr. Lili Adi Wibowo, S.Sos., S.Pd., M.M. (The Deputy Dean of Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. H. Nugraha, SE. Ak. M.Si, CA. (The Head of Accounting Education Study Program), Dr. Hj. Neti Budiwati, M.Si (The Head of Economics Education Study Program), Dr. Puspo Dewi Dirgantari, S.Pd., M.T., M.M. (The Head of Business Education Study Program), Dr. Sambas Ali Muhidin., S.Pd. M.Si. (The Head of Office Management Education Study Program), Dr. Elis Mediawati, S.Pd., SE., M.Si.CA. (The Head of Accounting Study Program), Dr. Heny Hendrayati, S.IP., MM. (The Head of Management Study Program), and Dr. Arim Nasim, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA. (The Head of Master of Accounting Science Study Program). The researchers that also came to this virtual ceremony are Dr. Heny Hendrayati, S.IP., MM., Dr. Chairul Furqon, M.M., Prof. Dr. Suryana, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Hari Mulyadi, M.Si. Meanwhile, the Directorate of International Affairs (DIA) UPI consists of Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D. (The Director of DIA UPI), Haipan Salam, M.Si., Ph.D. (The Division Head of International Cooperation and University Ranking of DIA UPI), Dr. Nia Nafisah, S.S., M.Pd. (The Division Head of International Program Development of DIA UPI), Tuszie Widhiyanti, Ph.D. (The Section Head of International Partnership Development of DIA UPI), Cep Ubad Abdullah, M.Pd (The Section Head of International Program Implementation of DIA UPI) and Ivani Noviarani, S.Pd. (Staff for Legal Document of DIA UPI).

Through the MoA Signing Ceremony, each university expressed their hopes for the agreement. As stated by Prof. Dr. Eeng Ahman, M.S., the Dean Faculty of Business & Management Education of UPI, the meeting held would be a way to develop both institutions. Similar to Prof. Dr. Eeng Ahman, M.S., Prof. Dr. Noryati Ahmad as the Dean Faculty of Business & Management of UiTM also hoped that this MoA signing ceremony would help both universities for a long-term partnership. Hopefully, the MoA signing ceremony between UiTM and UPI would bring a fruitful collaboration in the future.
