The University of Education Indonesia has collaborated with the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution to revitalize the Berretty Partere park on February 7th, 2023. The handover of the Berretty park revitalization collaboration from the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution to the University of Education Indonesia was conveyed by Mr. Raja Hutauruk, the Director of the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution. The collaboration was initiated by the Director of Student Affairs at the University of Education Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Suwatno, M.Si, who is also a professor at the university and a best-selling author of the Public Speaking book published by the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution.
The Berretty Partere park revitalization program is part of the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution’s corporate social responsibility towards the environment and education at the University of Education Indonesia. The event was attended by the Rector of the University of Education Indonesia, Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin., M.Pd., MA, vice-rectors, as well as the heads of units within the University of Education Indonesia and the directors of the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution.
Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin., M.Pd., MA, explained that the University of Education Indonesia appreciates this collaboration because the revitalization of the Berretty Partere park is in line with the university’s policy and program for a healthy campus. The University of Education Indonesia consulted with various stakeholders in the preparation, implementation, and handover of the Berretty Partere park revitalization.
The Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure Bureau at the University of Education Indonesia, Drs. Ahmad Tajudin, M.A.P, explained that the Berretty Partere park revitalization began with preparation through coordination meetings for the collaboration planning, held at the end of 2021, and coordination meetings with the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution and the park provider/consultant in mid-November 2022. The implementation of the Berretty Partere park revitalization work began on November 25th and ended on December 23rd, 2022. Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin., M.Pd., MA expressed his gratitude to various parties, especially the Erlangga Group Publishing Institution, and hoped that their collaboration would be a blessing. He also emphasized the importance of not only having a beautiful campus but also a healthy one and that the Berretty Partere park is a historical and cultural heritage that should be well-preserved.
