Collaborative Lecture on Green Economy and Financial Management Enhances Understanding at UPI

The Economics Education Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business Education, Indonesia University of Education (UPI), joined forces with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia to organize a seminar titled “Advancing Green Economy and Central-Regional Financial Management” on February 22, 2024. This event brought together faculty leaders, program heads, and educators from various levels of the Economics Education Study Program, along with students and faculty members from the FPEB UPI community.

The seminar commenced with introductory remarks from Dr. Susanti Kurniawati, M.Si, Head of the Economics Education Study Program, followed by the official opening by Prof. Dr. Eeng Ahman, MS, Dean of FPEB UPI. Moderating the session was Dr. Siti Parhah, M.S.E, a lecturer within the Economics Education Study Program.

Distinguished speakers from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia included Sandy Firdaus, S.T., M.Bus, Director of General Transfer Funds, who delved into topics such as Economic and Fiscal Policy Directions, Central-Regional Financial Management, and the Integration of Green Economy. Additionally, Damayanti Ratunanda S.T, M.Eng.Sc., Director of Environmental Fund Distribution Agency, discussed the Role of BPDLH in Managing Green Finance.

Prof. Dr. Eeng Ahman, MS, expressed optimism that this collaborative effort between the Economics Education Study Program and the Ministry of Finance would broaden understanding and practical skills in economic and financial development among students and faculty members within the FPEB UPI community. Furthermore, the discourse on green economy is anticipated to serve as a valuable resource for academic research and publications among students and faculty members alike.
