Bandung, March 1st, 2024 – Amidst a slightly cloudy atmosphere, students from UPI who are part of the DIA Companions organized a warm and friendly evening as a farewell to the participants of SEA Teacher Batch 3 Pilot Project.
Participants from various countries, such as KC Joy Cabikal Ancheta from Central Luzon State University, Philippines, Ishihara Risako and Suzuki YUI from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, Jan Joselle Castro Chico from Central Luzon State University, Philippines, as well as Nichakorn Sangphet and Sasithon Noktong from Hon Kaen University, Thailand, gathered in the evening at a carefully chosen location.
Despite their journey being hindered by increasingly cloudy weather and rain, the SEA Teacher participants remained captivated by the breathtaking views of the tea plantations in Lembang. Upon arriving at the hot spring, they chose not to immediately immerse themselves but rather to relax in the restaurant area, sharing stories and experiences from their arrival to their teaching experiences in classrooms.
Enhanced by light-hearted banter and warm conversations, the atmosphere grew even more intimate. While enjoying the dishes served by the resort management, they grew closer to each other. It wasn’t until around 7:00 PM that they decided to soak in the hot spring pool, despite the drizzling rain and thick fog. However, this didn’t deter them from enjoying the precious moment.
As they journey back home, the stories and experiences shared that evening will become unforgettable memories. All SEA Teacher participants hope that these tales will serve as warm and inspiring conversations for future international student interns. The camaraderie, warmth, and shared experiences in Bandung will lay a solid foundation for broader cultural and educational exchanges in the future.
