To facilitate access to a booster, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Health Office held a follow-up vaccination program for employees within the Ministry of Education and Culture, January 25-29 2022, in Kemendikbudristek office, Senayan, Jakarta. With the centralization of follow-up vaccination, Kemendikbudristek employees do not have to spend time specifically looking for and visiting health facilities to get a booster.

This was conveyed by the Secretary-General (Sesjen) of the Ministry of Education and Culture Suharti on the sidelines of following a follow-up vaccination at the High Achievement People Plaza, Kemendikbudristek Office, Wednesday (26/1/2022). Suharti continued, the implementation of follow-up vaccinations in the office can make it easier for employees without having to interfere with office activities. In addition, the ministry also helped achieve the vaccination target in the DKI Jakarta province.

“So it’s easier for all, both for us as those who have to ensure that employees are vaccinated, plus it’s easier for the employees themselves, plus the Health Service itself also makes it easier for them to achieve vaccination targets in DKI,” said Suharti.

In accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) No. 5 of 2022, DKI Jakarta is now at level 2 of the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM). Offices are also advised to limit employee attendance to a maximum attendance of 50%. Therefore, the centralization of further vaccination for Kemendikbudristek employees is also expected to immediately increase employee protection against the omikron variant of Covid-19.

“We did propose to the Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health) as well as the DKI Jakarta Health Office to help accelerate booster for employees at the Ministry of Education and Culture. Of course, with a booster, hopefully, all employees will be protected from the risk of being exposed to Covid-19, especially now that there is an omicron, which spreads faster,” said Suharti.

In line with Suharti, Secretary of the Education Standards, Curriculum and Assessment Agency (BSKAP) Suhadi said that follow-up vaccination is important to guard against unwanted things. “All employees of the Ministry of Education and Culture, not only the ASN (State Civil Apparatus) but the non-ASN can also participate in the booster until they are all awake and strong to continue their better work,” said Suhadi.

The implementation of follow-up vaccinations for Kemendikbudristek employees is targeting 7,500 of the total 9,000 Kemendikbudristek employees with a daily target of 1,500 vaccines being given.
