Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and O. P. Jindal Global University Forge Educational Partnership

In a bid to enhance educational endeavors, Indonesia University of Education (UPI) and O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU) from India are poised to collaborate in the realms of education and research. Representatives from JGU, including Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam, the Dean of Academic Governance, and Dr. Rahul Bhandari, the Joint Director and Assistant Professor of Practices, recently visited Bandung and invited UPI representatives for a cooperation discussion held at Sheraton Bandung Hotel and Towers on Friday (16/02/2024).

Attendees from UPI, which comprised esteemed figures like Prof. Ahmad Bukhori Muslim Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Rd. Boyke Mulyana. M.Pd, Prof. Dr. Yayan Nurbayan, M.Ag, Dr. Tri Karyono, M.Sn, Prof. Dr. Vanessa Gaffar, SE., Ak., MBA, Prof. Dr. Tri Indri Hardini, M.Pd, Prof. Dr. Iwa Kuntadi, M.Pd, Dr. Eng. Agus Setiawan, M.Sc, Dr. Nandang Budiman, M.Si., and dr. Lucky Angkawidjaja, M.Pd, welcomed the potential collaboration.

O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has earned the distinction of being the number 1 Private University in India in 2023, a feat it has achieved for three consecutive years, as per the prestigious QS World University Rankings. With 12 campuses focusing on a wide array of disciplines, including Law, Business & Management, International Affairs, and more, JGU brings significant expertise to the table.

During the meeting, Dr. Rahul Bhandari expressed eagerness to establish a robust partnership between JGU and UPI. He proposed various initiatives, such as offering fellowships for UPI students to study at JGU, organizing sports events to foster cultural exchange, and collaborating on research endeavors.

Dr. Bhandari emphasized the potential for mutual growth and development under this partnership. Additionally, he commended UPI’s research profile and expressed interest in leveraging it for collaborative research projects.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering educational excellence and research innovation between UPI and JGU.
